Normal down coat
Hunter Boots are good for girls. You can find them online. My daughter swears by hers. They also have inserts that keep their feet warm. She finally broke down and asked for snow boots last year after ruining her Doc Martens in the snow and wet. I ordered them off Columbia. Even those kids that are from cold climates still probably don’t have a lot of warm clothes and shoes if they are like my kid was - driven back and forth to school in a toasty warm car. At school, the long walks to class in the cold and wet is terrible if your feet are cold and wet. Agree with IxnayBob, socks are extremely important.
The Yale PO is not bad after the initial flurry of deliveries for books is over. You can also sign a form so that your UPS and FedEx packages will be accepted.
My daughter has found the Yale PO to be just atrocious - lost packages and very rude employees. And she is a pretty friendly person. Perhaps her experience is unusual, but she is very negative on the PO and we send important packages to be held for pickup at FedEx now.
@canoe2013, DS has been raised to be friendly (in the family we call it tail-wagging), but he has had no more luck than your daughter.
@IxnayBob Well at least it’s a good case study for the students on why people don’t like having to buy from monopolies.
By the way Frederick Smith, founder of FedEx, went to Yale . . . don’t know if his experiences at Yale PO had any role in that however.
