<p>My D doesn’t go to CMU, but went from warm weather in GA to MA. </p>

<p>The plastic rain boots can be bought with fur lining. They are SO warm that my D doesn’t even wear socks with them! They also come in lots of cute colors and patterns, and can be relatively inexpensive (try Zappo’s.) Her freshman year, we waited till she got up to school before buying most cold weather clothing, that way she got to see what the trends and fashion were at her school. I agree about the under armour being great, but you can get the Nike version of it for considerably less, and it is the same. My D rows crew, so we have bought quite a bit of it. Dicks Sporting Goods carries the Nike under stuff. For outerwear, she either wears Northface fleece or a pea coat.</p>

<p>Thank goodness for the Internet. You can get almost anything in a day or two, and nearly all retailers have on-line sites now. So DD can pick out what she wants, send it home via e-mail and poof, it appears in the mail. I love technology.</p>
