Winter Intersession grades

Hey if i am applying for admission to cal and UCLA in Fall 2008 for admission in Fall 2009.

Will winter intersession 2009 grades count?

Thanks

yes, you'll need to update them once your session is over

do they count towards your gpa?

Why wouldn't they?

i heard that winter and spring 2009 grades arent considered too much after applying. so i was checking

spring grades, not so much since they can't make their decision in time. Interesession grades are usually in before february, which is when you update

I specifically asked this question to the UC Berkeley SoCal admissions rep because I earned two A's in winter.

She told me that no, any change to your GPA because of winter grades is not considered by the person scoring your app. Their guide lines don't say to take them into account....but she did say you will most likely get a "brownie point" with whoever is reading your app if your GPA goes up because of winter grades.
