Hey I'm currently enrolled in a winter session class. Do the grades during the approximately 4 week session between fall and spring semesters that many colleges offer count towards your transfer GPA for the next Fall? I know that spring ones don't, but do the winter session/ interterm ones count? Thanks!

if they come out in time for the update then yes

ur school has winter? lucky ■■■■■■■

^Seriously. Envious.

why dont u guys just sign up for winter session at a school that has it and take online courses?

I really don’t care for online classes. Oh well, spring isn’t too far away :)

I need to take Calculus 1 for the Haas prereq. They are offering the class at my CC during this winter session, but I could barely understand the professor because of his accent. Does anyone know if the Math X1A (Calculus 1) online course, through Berkeley Extension, will satisfy the prereq?

Does anyone know exactly when the update date is?

I think it is due on January 30th. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong.

no ur right it is jan 30th, some schools have what they call a “priority” period, but i have no idea what that means, ill just try and have the grades in by then.

ddomin2363, from what i heard you cant, but you can call haas’ help line (someone picks up, its not automated). What CC do you go to right now?

LOLL online calculus haha.

ddomin i’m guessing u go to GCC

i am taking two classes during intersession. 6 units in three weeks. awesome. just hope the grades come out in time!!!

So if the grades aren’t posted, but you have a good idea of what you’ll finish with you can’t put what you think you will get in the course?

im basically taking the “cake” courses and i feel like ill know what i got in my classes by the 30th. so if i assume that i got all As and put that on my app, would they have a problem with that? i dont see the problem if i actually do get all As, but i see BIGGGGG problems if i dont haha

K so I just talked to a UCLA rep and they said that interterm/winter session grades do NOT count towards your gpa if you applied for fall 2010. Can anyone validate or refute this?

did you talk to Casey Hunter?

because i was told in April (by Casey Hunter UCLA Rep) that it does count.

I have talked with casey hunter because he came to my school as a ucla rep but not about this particular question if I remember correctly. I feel like I’ve gotten so many different answers it’s so frustrating. I’m trying to remember the format of the grade update form, and if there was a section or option for winter session classes…

just emailed my UCB TAP advisor bout the grade question.
