Winter Sport

Hey guys are any of you doin a winter sport this yr?
I think for my area winter sports began this monday.

If so what sport??
And how will this affect ur homework and grades and regular routine of life??

Oh yeah and what grade yall in.

I'm in tennis, 10th grade. The season won't start for another 2 months but I can guess that I'll be coming home later, so I can either go to bed later or manage my time better if I want to get at least 6 hours of sleep.

I started basketball last week. I'm a senior. I don't expect it to affect my grades anymore than football did or any of my sports have done so in the past. So far I spend about 2.5 hours practicing, a half-hour in the weight room, and an hour doing physical therapy for a sprained ankle I suffered in football. That's almost everyday routine. Now factor in homework and Boy Scouts and it can become a long evening, but not too bad.

A junior and I'm doing snowboarding but its not through my school. It wont affect school, only my routine on weekends. Currently I just watch spongebob marathons and rot my brain but during the winter, I give it up.

Starting practicing tommorow (well, it begun yesterday but there was slow-down with papers) hopefully. Wrestling (215-285). Sophomore.

I know it will be a major break of my studies first days but everything'll cool down later.

I do swimming. It's year-long, but since I do a fall (volleyball) and spring (softball) sport I can only swim in the winter. I'm a junior and I have been on a club team since I was 11. Practice starts @ 4:15 and ends at 6ish, 6 days a week, 2wice on saturday.
I'm still class sal after 3 years

swimming, senior.

won't really affect school, i stopped swimming year round a few months ago, and high school sports take up so much less time than club swimming, so i have so much free time now i don't know what to do with myself. i do xc in the fall and softball in the spring too.

the only sucky thing is we practice before school so i have to get up at 5;15am.. oh well. at least i didnt have to get up at 4;45am all summer this yr like i used to have to for yr round swimming.

9th grade...I'm going to try out for basektball, but I'm recovering from a broken ankle, so if i can't tryout I will play intramural basketball, play for the ultimate frisbee team, indoor lacrosse and indoor soccer on weekends. Then I"ll go away skiing a couple times, and workout on my off days.

Tennis, but I don't think I'll do it this year. I wouldn't be a big loss anyway lol. Last year our record was 3-12. That's what you get for going to a school of nerds.

To me grades > sports, and my grades aren't too great right now.

Does anyone here hate the feelin when ur back at home at about 6:00 and ur so tired and u got tons of confusin hw to do but u don wanna everyday?

I might start skiing this winter or I'll just do indoor soccer.

omigod yes....somehow at the end of last year, my brain decided it was the end of school in May, so basically i went to school, went to track, and then came home and ran around and didnt do a whole lot of productive stuff...my grades started suffering....so come june i studied my butt of for exams and fixed it....but not paying attention in chem last year is still screwing me over in AP..
