Does anyone know if UCSD will have transfer applications available for Winter 2010?

I was accepted for Fall 09 but I was thinking of taking an extra semester at my CC to finish off my physics and calc series and re-apply for Winter '10. I don't want to have to deal with lower division courses once I get to UCSD.

Are you guys sure that UCSD is accepting transfer applicants for Winter '10? I have asked my counselors at my CC several times about this, and they keep telling me that UCSD does not accept winter transfers. I proceeded to tell them that I heard they only accept transfers who are TAG certified, and they didn’t seem to know anything about it.

I have also gone to my transfer center at my CC and asked them about getting TAG certified for UCSD, and they too have no clear answers either! Each person I ask there has a different answer about how to get TAG certified for UCSD.

I’m frustrated because I don’t want to waste my time applying for Winter '10 if they are not going to accept transfers then. I also need to know so I can sign up for my final math class to complete IGETC by this summer.

Would they be likely to accept a winter history major transfer with a 3.48 GPA?

"Transfer students are admitted for Fall Quarter only.

*
o The application filing period is November 1-30 for the following Fall Quarter.
o The online application for Fall 2009 opens on October 1, 2008.

Exception: Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) participants may also apply for Winter Quarter."

That’s what it says on the UCSD website, but your best bet to find out for sure if they are accepting for Winter '10 would just be to call the admissions office and ask them. That would clear everything up 100%.
