Anyone apply? Anyone hear back yet?

Yeah, my friend got notified by mail on November 6th. I remembered he sent in his application early September. He got in. His GPA was 3.6ish and he completed his DTA at Bellevue College aka BCC.

I haven’t heard back yet though. Not sure I’ll get in since I’m haven’t completed my DTA. I got a 3.69 GPA and I’ll have 73 credits by the end of fall quarter. I expect to be notified within a week from now.

I hope you get some good news soon.

I haven’t heard back yet either and I’m out of state. Judging from the past Summer and Winter threads it seems like the unofficial transcript upload doesn’t apply to transfers. Dasani, do you know if your friend’s transcript uploaded, or if there were any other online indicators? I’m crawling out of my skin here.

Are both of you guys applying from Washington state community colleges? I’m not sure what “DTA” is…
I’m applying from a private university. Aahh, so nervous!

Good luck!

DTA = Direct Transfer Agreement :)

A lot (all?) of the Washington CCs offer direct transfer AAs that cover lower level core requirements. Here’s some info about it in regards to U of W: [UW Advising - The Transfer Associate Degree Agreement](http://www.washington.edu/uaa/gateway/advising/transfers/trans_ada.php)

Some of the Oregon colleges also accept WA transfer AAs.

My unofficial transcript loaded when it changed to the status “We have reviewed your application…”

I applied in early September. My app status just changed today to say that they have reviewed my app and will notify me by mail when they decide. Ugh, I am SOOOO nervous. I have a lot of super great things going for me (Honors student, GPA, Mexican-American), but I really think I will probably be rejected. Ugh. T_T

Just gotta cross my fingers and hope…

Also, for peonies, I am from a public 4-year university out of state. However, I am a Washington resident.

I was under the impression that race could not be used in the admission application in any way? Thanks to I-200 or whatever, they can’t make admission decisions based on race. Am I wrong about that (white male here).

Also, my understanding is that transferring from a 4 year university (especially out of state) is about the hardest thing to do. An admission advisor told me that a good reason to why you are switching helps. Personally, I am transferring from the University of Utah to UW, because UW has a neurobiology program, and U of U does not.

Oh! I see what you are saying. I mean I wrote about my race for my cultural awareness thing on my essay. But you’re right, I don’t think they will hold much weight to it. I just put that down as an interesting point about me on my post above I guess! Not trying to say I’m special or anything. Sorry if that sounded silly. :P

And I think you are right about the difficulty coming in! One of the reasons I applied is because I am a Washington State resident and the tuition is increasing 31% at my school. So it’s too expensive for me to come here anymore… Plus I loved the campus when I took my summer class there. :]
