Wiped from my records?

I am planning on asking ACT to delete an exam so that it won’t show up on my profile. I was wondering if I do that, is it permanently deleted? Like NO EVIDENCE that I ever took it?

Yes, they will permanently delete the test. So, if you’re required to send in all of your testing record, you’re safe. However, this takes forever. It took about a month for me to actually receive the form and a little over a month for the tests to actually be deleted. 2 and a half months total.

Is it possible to permanently delete the score after it has been released? Never knew that :stuck_out_tongue:

Well if it has been released to schools already there is no compelling reason to delete it right? But if you have a low score, know you can do better, and you are certain you’d never want that score sent to colleges having it deleted allows you to comply with schools that don’t allow score choice while also not sending lousy scores-they are simply gone.

@EcSkater I’m a junior so I think I have enough time. Is there a limit to how many we can cancel?

@NoEffort There is no limit to the number you can delete. According to ACT, “Students own their test scores and may direct ACT to delete them.” So yes, you can delete as many as you want, but you will not get your money back. However, you cannot delete state mandated testing or of the like.
