<p>I'm not a bad techie person, but I don't use a laptop because I have a PC. But how does wireless internet work on a laptop? Could anyone tell me what would I have to buy and install on a laptop?</p>
<p>Just buy a PCI antenna for the laptop and you're good to go. Of course, there has to be a source for the wireless internet, which most all colleges have.</p>
<p>Check the laptop - it may already be set up for wireless - look for an ethernet card - if it does not have one - all you need is a notebook adapter that just slides in. Most new laptops alread have cards in them for wireless.</p>
<p>On your PC - check that also for wireless card already in it - if not there is an adapter for that also</p>
