<p>Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not our dorm rooms will have wireless capabilities. I ask this because I want to know whether or not to buy a wireless router for my laptop. If anyone might know, I would really appreciate it!</p>

<p>i don't think the dorm rooms have wireless, only the study lounges do, at least that's how it is for unit 1. they recommend bringing a 25 foot ethernet cable haha</p>

Because if you buy a wireless router, then yes, you can plug it into your dorm room connection and have wireless capabilities. If you meant a wireless network card, then don't bother unless you also buy a wireless router, since dorms don't come wireless.</p>

<p>Yeah. Just make sure that during your in-room connection registration thing (when you have to give them your MAC address), use your router's address, not your computer's.</p>
