I Am Deciding Between The University Of Wisconsin Madison And Pittsburgh University. I am Inserted In Studying Engineering, Either Biomedical Or Chemical, And Have Been Accepted Into Both School's Engineering Programs. I Am A Pennsylvania Resident. Your Input On My Choice Is Much Appeared.

For chemical engineering, Wisconsin-Madison is like the best. The exact answer depends on your financial situation. Why no Penn State for engineering as I see you are a Pennsylvania resident ?

UWM is definitely the better choice. The university has a better reputation and better ranking both in engineering and overall. It’s worth going out of state for.

Wisconsin ChemE is top 5, and it also has incredible Biology.

Pittsburgh’s ChemE is a weird integrated program, and should you decide Pitt is not for you, I’m not sure how they would transfer the credits because their curriculum doesn’t line up with anybody else’s. I would ask someone that question.

Can you explain?

I would go to Wisco for their better rep than Pitt, but both do have very strong engineering programs I know. Also Wisco seems like a better time than Pitt and nicer campus. Isn’t Pitt in a strange disconnected section of Pittsburgh? I also hear Wisco has some of the best student life in the country. Idk how much you care about those lists but Wisco is ranked #2 for overall student experience on college **. is pretty good. Pitt is actualyl 18 on that list which isn’t bad but the different is pretty serious

Edit: lol why does this site block *******? PROWLER

Look at

[Curriculum Philosophy and Scope](http://www.engineering.pitt.edu/Chemical/Undergraduate/Curriculum_Philosophy_and_Scope/)

Undergraduate_V2

The curriculum list seems quite limiting with no electives. If you look at the class schedule, those few “block” classes are all that’s offered. One size fits all.

If you wanted to transfer, what equivalent credits would those block classes provide in another curriculum? I don’t know.
