Wisconsin or Purdue for ChemE

@4highkers when you say to call the department, who exactly should I be calling? Sorry, its kind of a silly question but I’ve thought about doing it before and I’m not really sure how to approach it

I’m honestly not sure if they make their capacity numbers public @ucbalumnus. That’s what my daughter’s chem e advisor told her. Usually freshman can’t register for their major specific classes until they’ve finished their 2nd semester but DD was given an override to register since they aren’t at capacity.

I totally agree with @4highkers about calling the schools and asking the questions. Even if the information isn’t published on the websites, we found COEs very willing to give specifics when asked.

1/3 of Purdue of students make Dean’s List seem to make every semester (3.5 GPA).

OP - At Purdue, call or email the office of future engineers:

Phone: +1 (765) 494-3975
Email: future-engineers@purdue.edu

They can also contact the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering directly as well: (765) 494-4050

@CAstudent1 that is not a silly question. I know these things can be overwhelming. Not able to copy the phone# and email right now.
But I would say if you have a specific questions and you are considering ChemE call ChemE department 608-262-1092. Sorry didn’t get the email.
I think you should spend part of the weekend writing down all your questions and concerns. They can also direct you to any one else that can help. Hope this helps!!
