Wisconsin Schools

Okay, i live in wisconsin, and i am a junior in highschool. I am really really thinking about going into the medical field but i would like to keep in my area(of Wisconsin or fairly close if going Out of state). I was wondering what are good schools to goto for Pre Med/ Med school around me. I live in Madison, my highschool grades have not been good at all freshman and sophmore year, but this year i am turning it around. 3.0 + gpa. taking the act some time soon, plan on taking a Medical class offered at my school. Basically I am looking for an opinion on good Pre-med schools around me, a good major to take and good medical schools to look into to, and other things to do while on my way.

no one has anything to comment on? ANYTHING. i meen correct me if im wrong but isn't UW MAdsion a very good school, with a nice medical school program?

Hey, I'm a senior from Appleton. UW-Madison is a great school with a good medical program. If your looking at state schools Stevens Point is supposed to be pretty good. Also U of minnesota is decent. Keep on turing around your gpa to have a shot of getting into Madison. i'm thinking of going in the medical direction myself. I'm going to be going to Grinnell College in Iowa (Gpa around 3.8 and ACT average 31). Very difficult to get into but has an outstaning science programs, also looks at whole package (ec's)

well i'm thniking about UW Milwuakee or UW Lacross and then trying to transfer to UW Madison second year. Also i am applying to a 7 week program at the UW about science and the medical field so that should help me out.
