Today, I discovered a wisdom tooth that it's starting to make its way out in my upper right section. Thanks herbal candy for making me discover it.

Any college students out there experiencing the same? Or, did you get yours pulled off already? Just wondering.

Please don't tell me how painful it is. I've heard many stories.

I have three friends who got their wisdom teeth removed. One said it didn’t hurt at all. She even went out the night after she got them removed. The other two felt like dying for a full week.

I only have one wisdom tooth fully in but the others are just below the surface. By now, I know several people who have gotten their wisdom teeth pulled.

LOL i got mine taken out when I was in middle school i think or maybe in 9th grade. The thing is that mine hadent even come out yet do the doctor cut my gums and took all 4 out. He said its better to do it before they come out because your teeth will all go crooked. I mean mine would because my teeth are already close together. So yeah take em out. It will hurt for 2 or 3 days but after a week ull be fine

don’t freak out about it. i hate pain and i spent seriously the month before i had mine taken out stressing about it. it’s not a big deal at all, the worst part is putting the gauze in your mouth. i went out the night after. i didn’t feel like eating for the first day but other than that you don’t remember anything and everyone feels sorry for you and visits you and brings presents. enjoy it :)

The pain for me was not that bad, however I forever lost the feeling in my bottom lip/chin and part of my cheek. I wish they had warned me earlier, but apparently this is fairly common and happens to about 1/18 patients.
They said they severed my nerve lining my jaw, but that they didn’t even see it
It really really sucks

My jackass parents made me get my wisdom teeth pulled two at a time, which made for two terrible experiences. I was miserable for about a week afterwards.

I got all four at once and, to be honest, it wasn’t bad at all. It’s only annoying, but there was little to no pain. It was bleeding for over a day, and those cotton things you have to put in your mouth are no fun, but, other than that it was fine.

Oh, and there was the food. For me it was a strict diet of mashed potatoes and ice cream - not that I’m complaining!

Thanks for all the responses. I asked my roommate about it and he said he was fine. So, this wisdom tooth is growing much faster than I thought it would. It seems like it’s growing at a slight angle. Might have to visit my dentist to get it pulled off once I go back home for winter break. Yay!
