WiSE Special Interest Floor in New/North?

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) floor in New/North? I was thinking about putting it down, but I've heard New/North is very social and the partying type. Are there enough girls on this floor that you don't notice...or what? If you don't live on the floor is it hard to get involved in WiSE?

I do not live on the floor, but from what I have heard, the floor has a mix of girls really into science, girls who got randomly assigned there, and girls who put down this community in order to get into New/North. Even if you do not live on this floor, it is easy to get involved with either Women in Engineering (WIE) or Society of Women Engineers (SWE). If you are looking for a quiet community that has a lot of Engineering majors, I would suggest Parkside. A lot of engineers choose it because it is near the Engineering quad and it is also a lot quieter than the other dorms.

I've heard that most girls are not into WiSE who were assigned there. You will notice that New/North is the social/party dorm, regardless of what floor you live on.

what other dorms are known for parties? i have already put down my housing preferences, but it would be nice to know.

^You can still change.

is it possible to change special interest communities? because I put down WISE, but I don't want to live in New/North because of its party reputation

^You can remove it. I'm going to remind my D to remove her special interest. She wants somewhere that she can close her door and study. She is a very social person but not a partier.

how do you remove it? do you e-mail USC housing, because I know how to change my housing preferences online, but I can't change my special interest community.

Niubie, I messaged you through the USC housing site but for anyone else who is curious to change a special interest community just e-mail housing@usc.edu with your full name and USC ID and they'll change it for you.

I think you can call them also and they'll reset things for you.

thanks you guys, that was exactly what I needed!
