Wish I was a fly on the wall..

With 10 days left, I got an email informing that our application has moved to the admission committee. Eventhough I'm glad to hear something from the AO, I am now anxiously wondering what's going on the admission committee... Oh to be a fly on the wall.

Which school was this for? Just wondering. It was nice they notified you!

pretty sure OP is talking about groton (i also received the email today). if not, then i’m also curious.

I wish that too

I was pretty surprised when I received emails asking me for more info on my application. So I’m assuming that they’re still deciding.

@Spldaisy: yes. I think if they ask you for more info, there’re 2 cases:

  1. you lack info.
  2. you hold a big chance of getting accepted. They’re interested in you!
Can I ask what school it is?

Well typically, if a school had many applicants, I’d assume if an applicant lacked info, they would just use what they had to make a decision.

I must say that it is extremely nerve-wracking when they contact you. I mean, it makes me feel like I have a chance now, but I also have a chance to ruin it. I can’t guess what they’re looking for, and I’m only me, I have no way of turning into exactly what they are looking for.

You see, if they are interested in me, they could just as soon be uninterested in me.

Also, this means that they are still deciding on whether to accept me or not, versus the people they probably already decided to let in…

Oh man, try to calm down, take a breath and stop thinking! It’ll do you good

I never post haha as you can see but a question…is it “standard” to have a running dialouge of emails with your interviwer/Ao? Like they basically have kept in touch and emailed me since my interview. They also coach a sport. Could it mean they want to accept me or were interested or does everyone get emails? Well it has been radio silence from them so maybe they rejected me haha

@Lurkernotaposter: For one thing, your username contradicts your stats now. Why would you post if you’re primarily a lurker? JK!

I had a running conversation with two out of four of my interviewers, but it died off at around December-January. It’s also been radio silence since then too, so I wouldn’t say you should freak out just yet…

@Spldaisy: I got contacted as well! May I ask which school contacted you? I want to see if we were contacted by the same school for more info. :)

There is a period (now) when coaches are not allowed to initiate contact with applicants. Maybe that is why the conversation has died.

oh shoot! When they ask me to shoot an email if I had any question, I did send one with 2 questions but til now there’s no answer

Don’t read too much into anything. Let March 9 be your judge.

oh god! @MBVLoveless: do you know that after you finish grade 12 in (u know), you’ll have to serve the military eventually. :)) thr future’s dark

what

10 char

If you attend a university, you don’t have to? Am I correct?

Haha. The country has just changed its policy  ROFL! IF I can’t make it, I’m doomed :)
