ALSO- im worried that my grades this last term are not going to be good What abut 4 As 1 B and a C? 2 C? AHHH! AP CACL AND PHYSICS ARE VERY HARD__ DONT TAKE THEM?

Well, I haven't seen your "crappy" essay - what makes you think it is so bad?

Your statistics (SAT's, class rank, GPA) are good - you've got some good EC's (Eagle Scout is always a plus) - you live in the south and your Jewish faith would seem to add some diversity to the next ND class.

I'd say you have a good shot at it. Is ND your first choice?

it wasnt until more recently= but the answer is yes. also - i think there might be more than 7 kids from kigh school applying--->nerves!

Seriously, i bet that you will get in. Was your essay bad grammatically, content-wise, or both? It is less important to have a perfectly punctuated well-flowing essay than it is an essay that will tell the adcom about you.

not to offend you or anything... but if your jewish why would you want to go to a highly catholic college?

i love Notre Dame.

When we were at ND this fall, we asked how much it would hurt one's chances to have a lot of people from one school applying. The counselor's answer was that each person was considered individually, and it didn't matter how many applied from each school.

I didn't feel that my essay was particularly good and I got in EA. If you are normally a good writer and didn't make any heinous grammatical/spelling errors, I'm sure you are fine. Your stats look pretty good. Good luck!

Thanks for the encouraging words- 3/4 peeps from my school were accepted last year with a 3/3 yield- so that is positive! right?

if your meant to be there.... you will. good luck in everything that happens. Im praying for you all.

As far as multiples being accepted from one high school, is this less likely to happen from a public school than a catholic high school. It seems to me that Catholic colleges cater to parochial schools, which I understand and agree with, but I was just wandering what other people thought.

our school was public and sent multiple! and we had 3 students accepted to Georgetown too.

My friend and I who are both non-Catholics at the same tiny charter school (public) were both admitted EA. We were the only two who applied EA, but I know of at least 2 who applied RD, and I think both of them will be admitted as well. I don't think much of a preference is given to Catholic school kids; it may just seem that way since these students probably have on average better test scores and harder schedules. Good luck with your application; I think you have a strong chance.

There definintly is a preference given to catholic school kids, but it is very relieving to hear that Notre Dame doesn't worry about accepting multiples from one high school. Thank you for your responses.

seven kids, including myself, were accepted from my high school on early action this year and there is at least one more thats guaranteed to get in because hes playing soccer at nd. hope that helps

Congradulations irishgold, is Notre Dame your first choice? That actually relieves me some that so many were accepted from your school.

its def up there, i've been a huge nd fan since i was born---both of my parents went there---but i won't know for sure til april
