So, despite my horrid standardized test scores (if you hadn't noticed already, I've always been terrible at test-taking), what are my chances getting into these schools?

Duke
UC Berkeley
UC Irvine
UCSD
Northwestern (if I told them I was moving to Illinois, would they give me more consideration?)
UNC - Chapel Hill
University of Michigan
University of Wisconsin - Madison
Grinnell College

Any assistance, recommendations, or constructive comments will be greatly appreciated.
THANK YOU! :)

Don't worry about the SAT I score...

ACT 31 is not bad. :)

Thanks for your quick response, ansar! What do you think my chances are getting into the aforementioned schools?

duke - high match
uc berkeley - high match
uc irvine- match
ucsd - match
Northwestern - high match, and probably not!
chapel hill - high match/low reach, only because you're not instate.

grinnell - match

Thanks penguino9! More chancing would be appreciated!

youre like the only Okie I've seen on this forum besides me...represent
The only ones I'm sure of is that you are in at Umich and Uwisc

looks to me like music and religion are pretty important to you.
emphasize a passion for that.
everything seems like a decent shot but yeah unc is extremely hard to get into when your out of state, unless of course your 6'7 and have amazing basketball skills

Haha, quite the contrary. I'm like 5'3" and I fall on my face frequently when I play basketball.

hey not to be creepy or anything....where in Oklahoma do you live?

I'm from Stillwater, and yourself?
Bumping, btw.

your ACT scores aren't bad. I would submit those unless you can really up your SAT score.

Yeah, my SAT's are royally screwed over and I was planning on sending my ACT scores. Thanks for your input!
Bumpz.

B-b-b-b-b-bump.

I just have to say -- with a vaguely obscure Lord of the Rings-inspired screen-name, a membership in Young Libertarians, and instrumental ability, I think I may be in love with you. XD

Duke - Low reach
UC Berkeley - Reach
UC Irvine - High Match
UCSD - ?
Northwestern (if I told them I was moving to Illinois, would they give me more consideration?) - Match
UNC - Chapel Hill - High Match
University of Michigan - High Match/Low Reach
University of Wisconsin - Madison - Match
Grinnell College - Match

UCB is very hard to get into out of state.
Northwestern won't care if you move to Illinois. It is a private school, and if anything, living in-state will hurt you. They prefer geographical diversity.

Thanks for everyone's feedback! Keep em coming!

Good EC's but your scores and GPA could be stronger for schools like Duke and Berkeley. I'd say your in at Irvine and maybe SD and Grinnell, everything else is a reach.

Duke, UNC, Berk all reaches
Everything else Match/Safety

Chance me too please

Are OOS's looked upon less favorably at UC and state universities in general?
