With only 3.5 years of social studies in HS, do I still get the chance of UIUC?

I selected 1 honor in the 9th grade, and will select 2 AP in the 11th and 12th grade. but only 1 semester of regular social study in the 10th grade because i was not sure about the work load of another AP course in science. but it turned out to be a bad decision. Just want to know how much difference will be between 3.5 and 4 years of social studies for application of STEM major in UIUC. I see on the web site of UIUC, 2 years are required and 4 years are recommended.

I doubt it will be the difference between acceptance or not. Note that some UIUC STEM majors, including all in Grainger, are very competitive. Make sure to make the early deadline when it comes time to apply.
