guyz plz do help me…

first, are you an international student? second, have your parents told you that money is no issue? third, what’s your GPA or the next thing to it? fourth, have you won any math, science, or computing competitions of note?

yes I am an international student, money is not the matter. i secure 84.4 % in 12th ,90% in 11th , 95% in 10th and 92% in 9th. yes i have won inter school maths competetions

since money is no concern, you can begin your research by doing something as simple as pointing your browser at college simply dot com. This will produce a list of hundreds of schools. You can then narrow the schools down by your intended major, region of the US, etc.

Right now your options are too many for us to be much help. You’ll need to narrow down a list of 20 or so schools so that we can see what you’re focused on, and then maybe we can make some suggestions for other schools to consider. Okay?

sure

i had selected these 10 universities earlier can u tell me in which can i get admitted and which of these are good for cs

  1. Georgia Institute of Technology
  2. University of Southern California
  3. University of Maryland College Park
  4. Illinois Institute of Technology
  5. Michigan State University
  6. Ohio State University
  7. Purdue University West Lafayette
  8. Pennsylvania State University (University Park)
  9. University of Michigan Ann Arbor
  10. University of Wisconsin- Madison

Any one who can help me out here??? [-O<

Georgia Institute of Tech, University of Maryland, and USC have good CS programs. Truthfully, I don’t know much about CS at the other schools, so hopefully someone else can help.

are you applying for admission for Fall 2015?

Are you applying for Fall 16 ? or FAll 15?

Your M+CR is a 1400…that is more important. Few care about the W

any of these schools are great for CS.

GT, Michigan will be reaches.
USC, UMDCP, OSU, PSU, Wisconsin are matches. The problem here is that your math score makes you a math match at any school, but your reading and writing scores make you a reach at many of the schools on your list. So you have to adjust to see how much of a reading reach you will be at any school, take into account whether english is your first reading language, and guess from there.
IIT and MSU are closer to academic safeties.

So I think it’s a very good list, but there are no guarantees. Hope for an IIT or MSU, and if you get something better throw a bigger party. BTW, there is a guy on CC from IIT named xraymancs, and you might pm him for more insight.

yes I am applying for fall 2015

I agree that all of these schools have perfectly fine CS programs. I would predict (I can’t say for certain as I do not speak for the Admissions Office) that you will get in at IIT with some form of merit aid. Feel free to PM me if you have other questions.

:)>- thank you guyz any more help

You may also want to explore Stevens, NYU poly, RPI and Rochester, since you are full paying.

I am in guyz… thank you for your suggestions… going to University of Wisconsin - Madison

Congrats!
