ACT: 33. 34 Superscored
SAT: 2070. Same score superscored
SAT II: 800 Math II, 760 Chemistry

Hello CC. I have a few questions about the scores I should send. I already labeled both the SAT and ACT scores on my common app.

For universities such as Cornell that only require one test - the ACT OR the SAT - should I send just my ACT alone or both my ACT and SAT?

For universities that don't allow score choice yet accept either the ACT or the SAT, if I send in my subjects, do I HAVE to send in my SAT I with them?

For colleges that claim they superscore the ACT, I don't have to send both my scores right?

Please give me your input. Thank you!

If you think I should send a specific combination for any university, please tell me! The ones I'm applying to are:

USC
Duke
UPenn
Cornell
Columbia
Brown
UMichigan
Dartmouth
Johns Hopkins
Northwestern

Thank you in advance :)

Bump please I need some input

Unless the college requires otherwise send the ACT score and the SAT II scores. Your ACT score is significantly better (by 120 points or so) than your SAT 1.

But … you really need to check the test requirements for each college on your list. It’s easy to do. The information is on their admissions web pages.

You don’t superscore “yourself”. All scores must be official – i.e. sent to the colleges by the ACT organization or the SAT (College) Board. Self reporting may make it seem that official scores are not necessary – but they very much are. The colleges do the super scoring by whatever recipe they describe on their admissions page, and the recipes vary.

You don’t mention your ACT essay score, and perhaps that means you haven’t taken the ACT with the essay. Some colleges require the essay. Some colleges require all scores of all tests that you’ve taken. Some require all of the SAT scores or all of the ACT scores. Some colleges require 2 or more SAT IIs. Some colleges allow you to use the ACT score alone. Looking at your college list I expect that you have a wide range of rules to address, one by one.

Don’t trust respondents on this board to advise you of the specific rules. Do your homework. And if you’re unsure send a note to admissions and ask.

I have decided to send all of my SAT scores. I have already labeled my SAT score on the common app so they’ll see it anyway. Plus, I improved 220 points on my second SAT (first time I got 1850 ew), so they’ll like to see the improvement right? Someone please confirm this, I hope this wasn’t a bad decision :|
