I hear they have to cut their admission rates. Does anyone have any idea as to how much they will cut their admission rates? I think if I applied last year I would have gone in no-brainer (comparing myself to the friends that got in last year), but now I hear they're making it very hard to get into, and I'm extremely nervous because they haven't given me an answer yet and I applied on November 30th.

My status on my application says "We have received all materials required to review your application. Your application will remain in this status until decisions are finalized. We will inform you by postal mail when a decision is made." - Does that mean they have looked over my application? And therefore I've been rejected since I haven't been accepted yet? Or are they just letting it sit on a huge pile on their desk just letting time pass by to torment me.......

And I can't do the 'unofficial transcript' trick because I'm doing a UW in the high school French course so therefore my transcript already loads with my class info on the French credits. Can someone (who has gotten their unofficial transcript to load) tell me what kind of info is present on that transcript?

ya, the only other school i’ve applied to is western and i was accepted within a week (that was like last week cuz i was still banking on the UW replying relatively early).

what are you stats like?

i’ve got 3.77 unweighted, all math=honors or AP, 3.85 jr year.

sat isn’t impressive but good enough for UW i thought (i took it 1.5 years ago)
math 680, reading 610, writing 580 (terrible, i know… but its the writing section)

and my senior schedule has 3 AP’s and no slacker classes other than photo which i need to take to graduate.

My stats are similar to yours.
My gpa is 3.93 and I took AP English Lit. and APUSH last year and this year I am taking AP English Language, Comparative Government and Environmental Science.
My SAT is not very good… I took it once. I don’t remember exactly but both my reading/writing were between 600-700 but my math was like 550 or something like that.
My essay was about me learning how to speak English and cultural differences and such.

Thanks for the input nbg. I would agree with you if I was applying last year, but I’m hearing crazy stories about admittance rates because of this craptacular economy :/

Oh, my goodness. My status recently changed today from “Received all materials…” to “We have reviewed your application. We will inform you by postal mail when a decision is made.” and now I am so freaking nervous and kind of panicking. I loaded my Unofficial Transcript again and they added info about my stats in High School, but it doesn’t say anywhere that I am a ‘Freshmen’. Does this mean I’ve gotten rejected?

Since you transcript already loaded because of your earlier class, I don’t think you can use that trick. Hopefully you’ll get a letter within the next few days!
