With very similar high SAT I (lower SAT IIs) vs ACT scores, which are favored?

Hi all,

After taking both the SAT and ACT, I have the following scores:

SAT I: 2300
CR 760
M 740
WR 800
Essay 10

SAT II
Math 2 800
Literature 680
US History 630

ACT: 34
English 35
Math 34
Reading 32
Science 34
Essay 9

According to score conversion tables, my two scores are equivalent. However, these tables are not very specific. Which set of scores would be better to submit? I am applying to several Ivies and similar privates, along with the UCs, UNC and UVa. In general, do colleges prefer one test over the other?

Also, my subject test scores are low compared to my SAT I. They were taken in one sitting - could I just submit Math and Lit? Is there a way to hide/avoid sending the lower scores? If I report just ACT, do I need to send my subject test scores?

What is best to do?

Thanks

all ima say is that UVA is hellbent on GPA and class rank… if u takin a shot at UVA< make sure you got the aforementioned nailed down. i know a lotta kids who go to UVA who wud suck as s in places like carnegie mellon.

Well my GPA is solid (3.9-4.0 unweighted, 4.1-4.2 weighted, taking 3 more APs senior year), and seeing as how my high school isn’t that great, I’m guessing at least top 10%, probably higher.

My question was about which scores to submit. I know that UVa is a tough school to get into for many reasons, as are pretty much all the schools on my list. I’m confident on my essays and ECs as well, I just want my scores to be as impressive as possible.

2300 is better than a 34.
