Hello all!

I didn't read the Common App/Dartmouth site very well, and missed the peer recommendation part. Dartmouth was already a reach... So my application isn't looking too well. :P

Anyways, I wanted to know how I would withdraw my application. Could I just email the admissions office?
Being that I applied well over a month ago, does it matter at this point?

Thanks!

Good God, kid, just get a friend to write one and send it in. Have you not looked at the other threads on this exact subject? You have at least a week or more – and it’s not critical in any event.

I agree: they probably haven’t finished assembling the files yet. Get a friend to write one and send it.

I do not intend on going to Dartmouth as I plan on going to a different college. Is sending a message through the Contact Us page sufficient for a withdraw? Or should I email admissions.application@dartmouth.edu? Would calling them be better?

If you didn’t pay the application fee, your application will not be reviewed. So you might be able to do that.

If any part of the application is missing, they’re not going to consider it, so you might be able to just leave it there.

If you want to contact them, emailing probably should be the best.

Then why didn’t you say so in the first place? I would say that simply emailing would be fine. Unless your goal is to get an application fee back. I have no idea how to do that.

Aha, yeah. I should have said I wasn’t planning on going in the first place.

Thanks for all your help! You guys are awesome. :)
