Withdraw ED application? too late?

im planning to withdraw my cornell ED application because something came up, but i still want to be able to apply during regular decision. Is it too late to withdraw my application? and will i be able to apply during regular decision?

It will most likely be too late to withdraw your application and still be able to apply to Cornell RD. You should call them asap, you will be withdrawing one week before decisions come out, hopefully they won’t blacklist you

if my withdraw is reasonable it would be okay right?

Yeah I think you’ll be okay, but I don’t know if you’ll be able to apply RD. They should only blacklist you (tell other colleges what you did) if you’re accepted ED and don’t come for a reason besides that the financial aid package wasnt good enough.

I think there are alway circumstances beyond our control, so just call them right away and explain. Sorry to hear it. I don’t think they will blacklist you.

Call the admissions office of the specific college. Admissions decisions are handled at the local level at each of the seven schools.

I don’t think you have to apply again. I think you just have to tell them that you would like to change your application-type from ED to RD. I don’t think that’s a cause for blacklisting. You haven’t been accepted yet.
