Withdraw from a class

So I am at UF for the whole summer. In that time I am taking 16 credits (10 of which are for my language classes). For summer A, my language class is sucking up all of my time and my current science class is suffering (not to mention I'm not too good at science to begin with). I should be able to get a 'C' in the science class, though I would most likely drop it if I do poorly on the next test. I am a political science major and was attempting to get a 'P' credit with this class. So I'm wondering if I should take the 'W' and what effects that might have. I've never withdrawn from the class but would hate to mar my gpa on a class not totally necessary for my major (I can always take another 'P' credit class).

I don’t think dropping a class with a W affects your GPA, though it might screw up your financial aid, if you get any. It’s certainly preferable to getting a D or worse.

W’s do not effect GPA. If you have multiple W’s though, they can however mess up your financial aid.
