I am not happy with the essay I put on my Common application that I submitted already. Can I withdraw my application and submit it again with my improved essay? I still have a few day before the deadline for submission

If the school says you can, but I would call anonymously to find out.
When applying to the level of Pomona or Duke, there’s an expectation you submitted an app you are/were satisfied with, that you put in the care, you did the grooming. Many colleges do not allow you to resubmit some portion, after the fact. (Some sorts of corrections are a different matter.) You can start with checking the app instruction pages on the colleges’ web sites. I don’t see this for P or D, so the next move is to decide whether to call.
For many colleges, the original will stay in the file. How bad is the essay or is this just nerves? And I highly doubt you could withdraw the entire app and resubmit.
