Withdrawal class or not?? HELP

I cannot get any higher than a C in this class, I will all A's in my 3 others. Would it be better to drop this and get a W, and a 4.0 GPA with less credits, or stick with the C?

what will the people reviewing my application think and what will it look like?

I need to make my decision by Friday

What class is it?

are you a current applicant or are you applying for 2011?

They don’t care about Ws. Straight from UCB transfer admissions officer.

Yeah, they don’t care about W’s, but Graduate/Professional Schools do!! W=C! X___X;;

i found this on my CC website

Withdraw with Penalty: 4/30/2010 Classes within a session, withdrawn on or before this date will appear on your transcript and a penalty grade will be assigned to the classes.

the class is CIS 1 what is the ‘penalty’ if i drop? I will ahve a higher semester GPA if i drop this class, but there will be a W on my transcript

I am applying for fall of 11 to Cal, UCLA, and Irvine
I need to get as many A’s as possible to boost my GPA- I previously attended a 4 year university on athletic scholarship and have an accumulative of 2.5 because I only did enough to be eligible to play.

So when my comm college GPA (which will be a 3.6, along with being a research assistant at a psychology lab at Cal and research at an institute in SF since i enrolled in comm college in fall 09) is factored into my previous schools GPA, it will drop dramatically.

The best choice would be to change it a Pass/No Pass if you still can. That way you don’t have to notify them and you just need to keep a C.
