Withdrawal in Spring semester

I have taken two courses right now in my CC after I admit to UCI Computer Science.
One course is Physics one course is Calculus.
Now, I have to withdrawal physics course for some reason.
So, I called to UCI two times about my situation.

The problem is both admissions say a different thing.
One admission says that it will not hurt anything about my admission condition, and it will be fine. She says that it’s ok to withdrawal the physics course. (I got her name and position)

Other admission says that she doesn’t know how it will change, and also she says that admission counselor will give you a message back (I sent the message yesterday about my situation) So, she refuses to give any advice nor direction of what should I do.

Now the withdrawal deadline is today, I really don’t know what should I do about this.

What should I do? Should I call to UCI again to here other admissions’ opinion?

BTW the physics course is

  1. Not related to the Major (Computer Science) of UCI
  2. I already finish IGETCS without this course
  3. Already have more than 60-semester units (currently 73)

@HelloUC2 Did you end up dropping the class? And did you hear anything else from admissions?

I’m in the same boat with you and probably will be dropping physics. I emailed the transfer outreach person and they said I should be fine as long as I still meet transfer conditions.

The message center counselor just told me they wouldn’t know until they received my final transcript which is just unhelpful.

@speng101 Really? The message center said me that its gonna be okay since i already over 60 units + finish major prep.

@HelloUC2 Then it should be fine for me as well. My situation is pretty much identical to yours besides not having my igetc’s completed but I don’t think physics 2 counts for igetc anyways. I tagged too so it shouldn’t affect it but not knowing exactly what’s gonna happen is always a bad feeling.

I guess we got different counselors since mine just replied that they coudln’t tell me what’s gonna happen until they get my final transcript the two times I asked them.
