Withdrawal on transcript?

Hi, sorry this is gonna be long but I'm really confused..

I'm currently a Junior in high school and I'm struggling in AP Bio. It's too late to drop the class with no marks, but I can still withdraw but I'll have a W(withdrawal) on my transcript. I want to go to Santa Clara or UC Irvine for the accounting programs, but my mom tells me they won't want to accept me if I have a W on my transcript. My high school counselors contradict each other, some say one W won't matter, some say it looks terrible. I have a 3.5 GPA and I currently have a 2020 for my SAT score. I think I can raise it to at least a 2100 this January. I have no extracurriculars, but a little bit of volunteering, I'm chinese and my parents can pay the full tuition for any college.

My question is should I withdraw from the class because I'm borderlining a D right now for first semester or should I stick it out and hope I can somehow pull my grade up, b/c I'm also struggling in other classes like AP Calc and AM lit honors and I really don't know what to do..
If I withdraw from bio, i'll have time to bring my other grades up. If i don't, I might get a d and my other grades will suffer. My bio teacher wouldn't give me advice, but she said I could try emailing admission officers at my target universities.

what should I do? I have two weeks to make a decision.

thanks,

What did you decide to do? My son was in a similar position in senior year and as much as the W doesn’t look good, he needed to do it so he could focus on his other classes.
