Withdrawal

Due to financial circumstances I most likely won’t be able to return for next quarter to UC Davis. Do I file a withdrawal now, or do I just not register for winter classes and wait for them to boot me out automatically?

P.S. I want to finish this quarter first.

This is not my area of expertise, but I think you should file for withdrawal rather than getting booted out.

I think there is a way to stay admitted, but take a quarter off for special circumstances. That way you could work, save up money & continue your college education. Perhaps you should look into that option, talk with a counselor about your options?

Thanks for the info! I forgot to mention that I plan on going to community college for 2 years and then transferring back to UCD or to another UC. So that PELP thing won't help me much since it's only for 1 quarter. I'll ask the Registrar's office tomorrow for help on this.

Visit your UC Davis advisor and the financial aid office and find out what they suggest. Maybe there are things you can do to ensure an easy return to Davis.
