I currently have 4 withdrawals on my transcript because the past year has been pretty crazy for me in my personal life. But this semester I am in a class I am really afraid I might fail because I am having such a hard time. But I am applying as a transfer to a school for the fall and I'm really afraid what they will think about 5 withdrawals in total! Anyone have any advice on this? Currently my GPA is a 3.24 I don't know if that makes a difference...

Tomorrow, go have a chat with the instructor of this course, and find out if you will be able to recover your grade or not, then go have a chat your advisor about your situation. Dropping the course may be your best option. It might not be. But you need to find out from those two people not from strangers on the internet.

I have talked to the advisor and she was not helpful at all! She seemed very uninformed about the class, but told me withdrawaling might be for the best. Currently the teacher put a “stopped attending” on my record which is false! And the director from the department told me to continue. I’ve gotten two different responses from the people who should be able to help me. I want to know if there’s anyone out there who has been in this situation!
