Hi!
So I was wondering because I have submitted a couple of supplements to other colleges on the CommonApp website, do I need to formally withdraw my applications from those colleges even though I didn’t send in my essays/common app/ sat scores etc?

how DOES one withdraw?

I’d talk to your counselors about that one.

Some schools want a paper letter while most prefer an e-mail. If you have a tracking number you should include that information. I was told that I needed to withdraw my applications at all schools - even if my apps weren’t complete.

Am I reading this right? If you added schools to your common app but didn’t submit your common app to them, you’re fine and you don’t need to do anything.

At my HS you must submit your transcript and teacher requests 4 weeks before you want them to arrive at the school. They refuse to submit materials online through the common app and still use the paper method. I think this is because they write recs that are individually geared toward the specific school. This basically forces you pick all schools that you would be applying to by Dec. 1st. I was told to send a note to any school where I had sent a transcript or teacher recs because they had opened an application file on me. I don’t think this would include schools where you started a common app but never submitted anything.

i just e-mailed the admissions offices, saying that i had been accepted ed and would like to withdraw my application.

Is it necessary to withdraw from schools I did not submit any payments nor applications to? I only e-mailed the schools that I actually submitted applications and payments to.
