Withdrawing Applications

Hey guys, if I was accepted ED, do I need to withdraw every application even though I have not formally sent in the app yet? For instance, I withdrew my early UMich app because I sent the commonapp, supplement, and fee in, but ignored my regular application colleges because I did not send the official app. However, they do have my recommendation letters, transcript, secondary school report, etc. Do I need to withdraw from those too since I am in their files? Sorry if this was confusing and thanks! Happy New Year.

I do not think you “have to” … however, that said, sending simple emails to the schools would probably take less time than making and monitoring this thread on CC … and in addition, would be a favor, to the schools. If you tell them, they close your file and appreciate the communication … if you do not tell them, they mantain your file and monitor the completeness of your application (and possibly spent time and money reminding you about missing items). To me it seems like a VERY small amount of time to spend to help these schools out.
