Have you guys already withdrawn your applications?

What if you sent your transcript and teacher/counselor recs to some schools but nothing else? Do you have to send them a message, too?

I’d really appreciate some feedback, haha. Thanks.

Btw, it still seems so surreal and way too good to be true that I got into Penn.

See you kiddos in the fall. :)

I didn't apply to any college, just sent teacher recs and counselor info. So i assume i can just let the colleges figure it out that i am not going to apply there.

I'm withdrawing applications where I paid. I have 20+ colleges with either a transcript or rec but was only planning to apply to 10 at most. I was never planning to tell the rest of these places anything if I were rejected from Penn, so I'm not going to tell then anything now. My parens want me to keep my app with UMD because they think Penn will rescind due to my 3.5 GPA this semester, so I'll talk to my GC and see how I work that out. I think I can get by without rescinding it because it's my state school, but I'll see.

I don't think 3.5 is so bad...at least I'd hope not because I might've gotten something like that in my first semester too lol. We get our grades this week...

Did you call Admissions office to ask if a 3.5 is acceptable?

3.5 and you are worrying?

3.0+ and they won't even bother asking. with very little effort, everyone who got accepted can do that.

3.5 is fine. They don't do anything unless you get multiple Cs. The worst you can do is all Bs and 1 C before they even look at you. My parents don't think a 3.5 is good though. Maybe I should add that I could very well get a 2.5, but doubt that my teachers give Cs and I should break 3.25.

If you didn't pay for an application (just sent counselor forms/teacher recs), do you still need to withdraw the application?

I doubt it because they won't process it without it being paid for.

how do you withdraw your applications? Do you just send the colleges an email?

yup--or mail them a letter.

In the acceptance letter, it specifies that we must withdraw, but I was wondering.... if you don't withdraw until after the mid year report is received which would be in a month or two... is that still ok or must you do it now?

I thought we had to withdraw all applications by January 6th??
