Is it possible to Withdraw an application ED if you get accepted to another school already and NYU hasn't? For example, let's say I get back a response in Mid November that I'm accepted to a school that I want to go to. NYU doesn't come out with a decision until December. Is there any way I can withdraw my ED app to NYU?

It's binding if you get in. You should call them and ask because they might tell you that you need to change your application to regular decision because if you withdrew ED after submitting and had no other reason than you wanted to go somewhere else, you might be outta luck for both schools since you broke a supposedly legally binding contract contingent upon your admission.

What were you thinking when you applied ED? With your rationale, why not apply ED top all schools on your list?

You might be able to withdraw your application but I suggest that you do it now. Speak to your guidance counselor and contact the school for specifics.
