Withdrawing from a class 2nd semester

That is a good idea. My guidance counselor from high school, not that knowledgeable about transfer admissions, is going to ask her admissions friends how they view the situation. The only valid reason I can give is that I didnt believe the course would transfer over due to the fact that it isn’t a standard class from a department such as poli sci, foreign language, science, or math. It is a freshman history course about the 5th Century Eastern Silk and Spice Trade Routes ha-ha. Frankly, I was bored to death in that class and had a B-. Every other grade is an A and even though I dropped the class, will still finish my freshman year with 36 credits (8 AP credits)

I don’t even know how many credits I’ll end up with, Penn’s system is so weird. If a college recinds you can you enroll at another one if its before the deadline?

I honestly have no idea about deadlines for deposits at other schools if admission is rescinded at X school. At this stage, I am mostly worried that a college will reject me because I just notified them that I withdrew from a class a few weeks before transfer notification.

I would hope not, as long as you had a good explanation and weren’t failing it I don’t see why they would consider doing that. But, if you don’t get in you’ll always wonder if that was why…
