Withdrawing from a class?

<p>Hi fellow Cornellians class of '13!</p>

<p>How strict is Cornell on 2nd semester for accepted students - what does it take to get rescinded?</p>

<p>My problem is that I've basically gotten into a pretty big argument with my band director. I can't go to a performance because I'll be at a competition 500 miles away and she's being incredibly unfair about the entire situation. I'm tempted to just drop the band class and if I don't, my band director could very easily give me a C in the course. What to do?</p>
