Withdrawing from college due to health issues

Hey everyone, this is my first post and I don’t even know if this is the correct place to find help or advice, but here I go:
I am currently a cuny student that is supposed to start classes at the end of this month, I have really serious complicated health issues that occur on and off and when they’re on, it keeps me from attending school because it is THAT much of a distraction. I’ve been sick recently and it takes weeks and sometimes months to fully recover. I **** up my first semester at my school so I opted to start over when classes start this month. The thing is, I don’t think I’ll be well enough to attend school, or at least consistently. My school only allows 3 days absence.
What Are my options? I really want to continue my education and this whole thing is eating away at me…

Tldr; I have serious health issues that keep me from attending school, already withdrew last semester to start over later this month, school only allows 3days absent. I want to know my options.

Take a semester off and get your health under control.

Health should come first. If you go back and screw up again, you’re digging an even deeper hole.

Can you live at home or something and take some time to focus on your health?

I think you ask for a leave and get better. You are young, and there is no rush. You might want to consider part time as well. That might be easier to manage even with your illness. Good luck.
