Withdrawing UVA Application

D was accepted for admission at her first-choice college (University of Florida). She was deferred from UVA (Curry School of Education – Kinesiology), and now would like to withdraw her application from UVA to allow another student a chance for admission.

Does anyone know how to notify UVA for withdrawal of an application? I went to the UVA website and didn’t see anything. Should we contact Admissions, or the Curry School of Education? Dean J, we’d really appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thanks!

@havingfunismy Thanks for the information – great find! It does look a bit dated, so we may wait for Dean J to respond.

@VABogart - There is way to withdraw her application from her application portal. Have her log on and look for the Request to Withdraw Application Form on her portal.

There is a hyperlink on the application page. Log into your DD’s UVA application account and click on the Orange hyperlink that says withdraw application click here

Thanks, you all – these are great suggestions. I’m going to pass these on to D and she can take it from here.

All the best to those who are still waiting for a decision. I’m a double 'Hoo, so I’ll be rooting for all of you to get into UVA.

Good grief – it’s already 4:00 p.m. Time for some coffee. ~O)
