Withdrawing

I'm a nursing major, so A&P is a requirement, but I'm withdrawing. All semester long, I've struggled, and it's not like I haven't been trying. I've done all I can, but my professor doesn't teach, and I looked at it, and unless I ace the next two tests AND the last lab practical, I won't get a C which is what is considered passing for nursing. So tomorrow, I'm meeting with my advisor (which I was going to do anyway to go over what I'm taking next semester) and withdrawing from the course. This means that I have to retake it next semester, and take A&P II over the summer, but there isn't much else I can do. Ugh.

That sucks. I may need to withdraw from a course that is required by my major, and it is only offered in fall, so it would set me back a year. I hope I do well on my exams to come.

Ouch! Being put behind a year is not okay. Could you take the class elsewhere over the summer?

It wouldn’t actually set me back an entire year. I’m not too worried :)

You said it would set you back a year…so I’m completely lost, but whatever.

I think OP said a semester…

Good luck!

Two possible techniques: Sometimes students who dislike a professor plan to take their class elsewhere and transfer it back to avoid him/her and sometimes they schedule a challenging class over summer/winter session; the accelerated pace makes it bearable and/or there’s a summer session pity factor in grading. good luck.
