Is anyone trying to transfer to a UC from another UC?
What's your major and GPA?
Have you heard from any school?

I’m trying to transfer from UCSD to UCB, but I’m applying for Fall 10, not 09.

My major is physics and my GPA is 4.0

I’m trying to transfer from UCD to UCB. I’m a current Spanish/International Relations major with a 3.41 GPA. Oh, and I applied as a Luso-Brazilian Studies major.

wow a 4.0 in Physics at UCSD! amazing!

I’m trying to transfer out of UCB to socal haha. My GPA is only a 3.14…
Good luck Aggie! What’s your GPA?

Thank you! My GPA is 3.41. Good luck back to you! If I may ask, why are you leaving Berkeley? I guess I wanna know what you thought of Cal as a school.

Nothing wrong with berkeley really, besides the location for me. I love the campus and the atmosphere, but it’s just way too far from home for me. I realized that my friendships up here aren’t even close to my friendships back home. Those are the people that I really enjoy being around. If the Berkeley campus could be moved to southern california, I would definitely stay.
Also, if I stay at Cal, it seems like my GPA will only go downhill, which would be bad for grad school.

HOPEFULLY transferring from UCR to:

UCLA: Philosophy and Linguistics
CAL: Philosophy
UCI: Philosophy

i have a 3.52 GPA as of the January update…and no, no news yet…but i’m curious about not hearing from UCI yet…***?! lol

From UCD to UCSD, 3.4 GPA Econ major… still waiting on UCLA

Thank you for sharing caltouci! I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed Cal. I’m actually looking forward to being closer to home and my friends too if I get into Berkeley. I hope we all get to the right UC for us.

UCSC to UCLA
Major: American Literature and Culture
GPA: 3.83
Trying to be as patient as I can… the waiting gets worse each day!

Im hopefully transferring from UCR also,

UCI: Business Econ & Econ
UCLA: Business Econ

I have a 3.37 GPA. Havent heard from UCI yet either.

I hope you all get in!
Did you guys get your current classes articulated for credit at the school you plan to transfer to?

eh…what does that mean? I talked to the department adviser for my intended major and she looked up which/how my classes would transfer from UCD to Cal. Is that what you mean caltouci?

I’m hopefully transferring from Cal to UCI

GPA: 4.0
Math major

transferring from UCSD to UCB or UCLA as a math or math/econ major (respectively) with a 3.43

Woah really ucberkeleyfrosh? Are you still a freshman? 4.0 Math major at Cal. Amazing. Why are you trying to transfer to UCI?
Yeah aggiebear, so you know which classes will transfer? I tried calling UCI to figure out which classes I should take, but they had no idea.

Yes, I was able to find out which of my classes transferred from my freshman year and fall quarter. I have yet to try and articulate my Winter and Spring quarter classes.

That’s too bad they didn’t help you. My only advice would be to call your future major adviser (if you haven’t done so already) and see what they can do. That did the trick for me.

Does doing that give you any advantage in admission?

I donno if it gives you an advantage in admission. I do know I liked the fact that they voluntarily evaluated my coursework. I really can’t say it gives an advantage though…unless one of the people who looks over the work is connected to admission. It did feel like they took me seriously though, or were just really nice. I also figured it was good to network should I be accepted.

Nevertheless, you won’t be at a disadvantage if they aren’t able to articulate your courses.
