I’m a soph. caltouci. I’m sick of berkeley! Weather sucks and Unit 1 sucks!!!

Thanks aggiebear! It’s kinda hard to find your potential future adviser at UCI. I even went to the school’s transfer dept. and they couldn’t answer my questions. I’ll see what I can do though.
ucberkeleyfrosh, don’t you wish the people who want to go to Cal and have gotten into UCI should be able to just trade spots with us? haha that would be nice… But anyways, I’m sure you will get in with a 4.0 GPA!

ah! I’d be so willing to trade for a spot at Cal!

But aggie, I don’t wanna go further up to Davis that wouldn’t make sense.
So doesn’t look like there are a lot of intercampus transfers

I know you wouldn’t want that caltouci, haha. I was just supporting your idea if I were an Irvine student. When does Irvine notify?

Some people already heard from Irvine. I haven’t heard from anyone: UCSD, UCI and of course UCLA. Also I think they consider us intercampus transfers last… which sucks :(

UCBerkeleyFrosh, why are you hoping for UCI, why not UCLA or UCSD? With a 4.0, that shouldn’t be too hard.

Ah! I know this wait is painful. Hopefully you’ll hear soon! and I hope they save intercampus transfers some space!

Because UCI has a math program that is on par with that of sd and la, but with noe distinct advantage- less competition.

That’s smart. But surely you can handle the competition if you can get a 4.0 at Cal :)

And yes I really do hope they leave some spots for intercampus transfers. I really need this.

has anyone heard anything from any school yet?

I haven’t heard anything from Cal…but i have a freshman friend at Davis who applied to UCLA for a sophomore transfer and he already got rejected. I was surprised that he already heard back. He was some sort of Music major transfer, I don’t know if that had to do with the fact that he has been already notified.

hmm that’s curious. Well at least he already knows. I wanna know already so I can plan for my future!

I thought there was something that said if you were accepted to a UC during your Senior year of High School, you only need to keep above a 2.00 GPA in College to be able to transfer into that UC.

This may be beneficial to you,CALTOUCI, because if you got accepted to UCB, you were obviously accepted to the lower tier UC’s.

I’m not sure if it even works, you could try calling the Admissions office for the UC’s your trying to transfer to.

“I thought there was something that said if you were accepted to a UC during your Senior year of High School, you only need to keep above a 2.00 GPA in College to be able to transfer into that UC.”

to be able to apply.

Oh haha thanks! Cleared that up.

Yea, because I applied to UCI for winter quarter and I didn’t get in and I had gotten in senior year. That’s a little silly to not accept the student the second time. I guess they’re just thinking, “they chose another school over us before, why should we let them in now”. haha :(

Anybody hear back yet?

I still haven’t
No “housing application” changes either. Anyone else?

No I haven’t heard anything- but I’m only waiting on UCLA.
I wonder if inter-UC transfers will be part of the first or last decision waves…

I’m pretty sure we will be last if we’re separated considering none of us have heard from the other schools we’ve applied to either.
