Hey everyone! I’m applying to the Science, Health & Medicine cohort of GW’s Women’s Leadership Program and I was just wondering how many people are selected/how selective it is…? I haven’t been able to find any information about this. Also, for those of you who have participated, did you feel isolated from the rest of the school? Was there anything you didn’t like about it? Just trying to get a feel for what it will be like if I’m accepted
Sorry, I don’t know much about that cohort specifically. To the extent of my knowledge however, the application process is not more selective from cohort to cohort, as the application is sort of a general admissions ticket to the program itself. From the people I’ve talked to who are in the program, the program creates a community amongst members and can be great for making close friends. I haven’t heard anything about isolation, except perhaps some students who regret staying at Somers Hall with the most of the WLP students because it’s on the typically less-preferable Mount Vernon campus. I wish you best of luck with acceptance
Can a former/current WLP (or GW student) comment on this too?
