My teacher uploaded the recommendation online Nov 1 while my counselor rec was mailed in. It says that my teacher recommendation is not received...so could something have gone wrong and this would affect my applying early? Same with everything else, I postmarked everything before november 1 and it says received nov 5 on the wolverine access so I was just wondering if I would be still considered applying early and whether or not something could have happened with my teacher rec...

Michigan is absolutely TORRID when it comes to keeping track of stuff like that. The first time I sent in my transcript/counselor form/teacher rec was September 12th. A month later, they hadn't received it, I sent it again. Half a month later, they still hadn't gotten it. I faxed them everything, only to have it received November 7th. If you're worried about anything, it doesn't hurt to give them a call and explain your situation. They might allow you to send it in later.

Ah okay. Did they still count you as early response afterwards? I already emailed them but have yet to receive a response. It just worries me that I"ll be bumped down to regular.

you will be much better off calling them.
Last year, i called them about my recommendations and they put me on hold (like two mins) came back and said they found it and completed my app.

okay, thanks I'll try that. The problem with that is just I'm on the west coast so the time difference affects it a bit, but I could try to wake up extra early to call.

So I imagine that this may be a little different for people applying to undergrad than for graduate school there. I accidently had one of my transcripts sent to the wrong building and it magically found its way to the right people. I work at the University of Colorado and if that were to happen here, the incorrectly mailed transcript would be used for toilet paper. Nothing has shown up at all for me on the wolverine access nonsense but I imagine it will at some point.
