Women (and Men) in Engineering

Hi,

I am a woman and I have applied to the engineering school. I received an invitation to this engineering conference in November but was unable to attend. Was it only for women or was it for all engineering applicants. (btw i was on their list, i didnt apply early).

Does anyone know how many women are accepted to Cornell engineering? How many are accepted overall (men/females)?

Do they send out likely letters?

This thread is there for anyone to respond, not only the females :-)

Thx,

PS

Engineering in 2004:

538 women are accepted out of 982 applications. 54.8%
1196 men are accepted out of 3581 applications. 33.4%

Entering class is 26.8% female

hmm, mercury's post makes me feel a lil better. :P good luck, sdali! i hope we can see each other next year.

good luck misty!

yea, i hope to see you and all the other women engineers next yr.

54% is quite a lot.... :)

54% looks like alot, but i'm sure that we all are very, very, very qualified. Why else would we apply to Cornell Engineering?
See you two next year!
