Women in SEAS

I am a caucasian girl who is looking into applying to SEAS this coming fall.

Does it give me an extra advantage that I'm female?

Also, does anyone know the individual acceptance rates for SEAS for men and women?

I don't think that's too much of a consideration. The gap is currently 75 men : 25 women.

put it plainly, you will not be accepted just because you are a girl, however looking at the ratio in SEAS and general trend of engineering schools, I'd say being female does give you somewhat of an edge in admission
