women in STEM scholarships

Hi,
I’m a female interested in stem (electrical/computer engineering) and an American citizen living abroad. I was wondering if there are any specific scholarships geared towards people like me, because as it is, I have no way of paying the complete tuition of my top college. I need to enroll by May 1st, so any knowledge of scholarships prior to that would definitely impact my college choice.
I’d love to hear any information you have.
thanks!

There are no scholarships (worth applying to) open now that will notify before May 1st. It’s very late in the scholarship season to be looking at outside scholarships.

If your top choice is not affordable now, it won’t be affordable by May 1. Ask for a financial review at your top choice school, but get ready to choose another (affordable) school when the deadline rolls around.

I found this but since application deadline is in June you would not know by May 1.

scholarship requirements

There are a lot but most deadlines are between December and yesterday (I know because my DD did three due yesterday). For high school students SWE is still open, however as others have stated you usually don’t find out for a few months.

The best scholarships are usually from the school. Even if they do not have such a specific scholarship for women engineer (not likely for other STEM though), a female student may still have a higher chance to get their engineering scholarships in order to attract more female students to enroll. Nevertheless, if you have not received one yet, your chance is low to get one.
