Women of Distinction weekend

Has anyone here applied to the WOD weekend? If so, have you gotten a decision yet, or does anyone know when decisions even go out? Thanks!

Hey! I'm going to the WOD program this October. I'm pretty excited!

I was in WOD in 2004, and then got accepted Early Decision to Smith. It's a pretty cool program, and if you're accepted it bodes very well for your admission chances.

I'm going too!!!
See you guys there.

The deadline has propbably already passed for this year. You need to be a senior and a woman of color. There's a pretty extensive application that you get from your guidance counselor, it's kind of like a mini college application with an essay and so forth, and then you send that to Smith and they choose amongst the applicants.

I'm sorry flootloop! But don't despair just yet, if you do apply to Smith and you get accepted they will fly you out in the spring if you want to come to the Open Campus weekend before making your final college decision. That's open to everybody, though I think they have a similar women of color program that goes on at teh same time.

The thing SmithieandProud is talking about is Discovery Weekend. It's a neat program. I've been involved in the hosting process the past two years, and the prospectives I've known loved it.

How many girls are accecpted?
