Hi !

I am admitted, very happily, and still wondering if I should go to ROSE.
The stats (1/3 becomes millionaire?:)) and facts that profs are very supportive attracted me.

For senior year, I'm taking Calculus class, not AP though.
I've got A on first semester, so far B on second semester,
and feel that I want to manage engineering, but not sure if it's the right path,
since Cal class is becoming very tough.

I am not a genius, science geek, or whatever you'd like to call,
but I like math and physics, not chem though :(....

Anyway,I'm wondering if I could make it at Rose,
Would I be able to graduate with GPA 3.5 above ?
Also, as an international student, I still have some problem with English..
I know it's hard, but I'm willing to work hard.

Not sure what I should do......

PS. to Nic,
I sent some questions to your email, hope you can reply before the due day for Deposit.
Thanks alot !!

Rose is challenging, but they give you everything you need to make it. Having calculus will definitely help (you could test out of Calc I and have room for another class or retake Calc I so you understand it better). As far as chemistry, I don't like it much either and I even know some chemical engineering majors who don't like it much. It sounds like you know about the workload, and as long as you're willing to work hard, you will do fine.

I think RHIT will suit you as long as you really like Maths and Sciences.

I am also an international student too planning to go to RHIT this fall. From I heard, RHIT is a really tough school for most people, but of course, the toughness varies from person to person. And, it shouldn't be too hard to graduate from RHIT in time, but need to work hard to graduate with a good GPA of course. Indeed, I think you can still graduate with a GPA of 2.0.

Academically, you can always seek more help from the professors easily or there's sort of "help zone" I've heard somewhere on the campus for people with troubles in homeworks to get help. In fact, RHIT is a school that focuses a lot on undergraduate teaching, like other small schools such as Harvey Mudd or Cooper Union, in contrast to big institutes such as MIT or GeorgiaTech, where the professors concentrate more on researches rather than teaching.

There's an English professor at least at RHIT. Maybe you can take more electives that are related to teaching English such as creative writing for example to improve your English.

BTW, I thought you wanna go to Purdue engineering.

JACKWANG - Main reason why I post thread on PURDUE is that
Purdue is much cheaper than RHIT.
But, academically, I feel RHIT is better choice.
I'm not sure...
I hope I could get response from Nic..
